What a concept! Finally something new and different. And not a freaking re-boot. A whole world blind for centuries, The writers produce believable ways in which folks communicate with each other, and the actors are professional in their craft in portraying such a world. The action pack fight scenes are sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat entertainment. And then suddenly, humans are born with sight. Jason Momoa again is larger than life in his role as Baba Voss. Sylvia Hoeks is powerful and a sexy portraying the character of Queen Kane who utilizes sex magic for her prayers to the God Flame. A must see, especially if you are tired of seeing the same old mash of stories coming out of Hollywood/Bollywood.

Like most of Mr. Costner's movies, it doesn't make a great impact financially, but like Orson Welles, his movies are before their time. Always paying close attention to detail and at the same time, entertainingly pulling at the heart strings.
