Absolutely fascinating. The sheer ennui and no hope of anything ever changing 🚼 interspersed with subtle comedic sarcasm and human intersupport from the females and males equally. Feels like the late 70s but the background news spews out anti Russia war news with Ukrraine. The few Finnish people I know are cheerful and sociable so how representative are the characters in the movie. Watch it.

How much pain in this world. Make it stop.

A beautiful movie. The simplicity and kindness and absence of ego in the people who lived in the high mountains. Their songs spoke of purity of heart and the karmic connection with all of nature.

Principled people. The emotion so palpable when she and her Mother met. The damage and trauma incurred in having been given up at birth which is a thread through her life. Exceptional insight in Korean culture.
