I think it was a very great and wonderful movie to be honest. The husband reaped what he sowed in the form of his wife leaving him due to his involvement in raping a girl who later killed herself and the girl haunting him for his misdeeds. He was just as bad as his friends who raped the girl for taking pictures of her being raped instead of saving her.

Hour of the witch was very good and compelling. The Servant girl Catherine falsely accused Mary of Witchcraft by conspiring with Thomas to accuse her of witchery so that she could be with him. Thomas wanted to see Mary hang for being barren which is his fault because he was infertile all along and under the belief that she was the wife of Satan. Thomas and Sam reaped what they sowed by literally going through the witching hour and Mary lived happily with Henry elsewhere. Her records hidden in history.
