Spoilers ahead:
This Review is mainly about The Mandalorian season 2, while I didn’t think season 1 was good, season 2 is a whole other level of bad. The plot conveniences in this season are insane, such as the stormtroopers either missing every shot on characters (that is when they don’t try to hit them with their guns or when they just don’t shoot), or only shooting Boba and Mando’s armor instead of the unarmored places on their bodies, and an unguarded terminal with important information in a cafeteria only needing a face scan, literally any face to be scan to work. Characters react and act however the plot needs them to act, such as Mayfeld shooting the officer and blowing up the base while previously explaining in the very same episode that all stormtroopers aren’t evil, and are human too. Or Ahoka constantly going back and forth on helping Mando and Grogu because….. Plot. And finally a big problem with this season is how much the show bends over backwards for fanservice, such as Boba Fett effortlessly taking out the Stromtroopers and none of them deciding to shoot him so he can look really cool, though Stormtroopers have been reduced to such a pathetic group of enemies, that taking legions of them out isn’t impressive. Dark Troopers being built up to do….. nothing really, even with the ability to force open blast doors apparently Beskar just absorbs all damage because the plot needs them to look cool but not kill Mando. And Luke’s end scene, which even people who didn’t like TLJ's portrayal of Luke seemed to have liked, which is so bizarre to me since it’s just Luke cutting down useless robots, it doesn’t amend what they did to his character in TLJ, now it’s that Luke also defeated some dark troopers before becoming a wet suicidal sock on an island (I hope Grogu doesn’t have any bad thoughts or else Luke may try to kill him in his sleep I guess). Overall the Mandolorian season 2 is not only a very poorly written show, but possibly the most poorly written Star Wars material, and shows that Dave Filoni and other people working at Lucasfilm don’t care about good writing since they know that fans will eat it up, and seeing the overall fan reaction to Luke’s fight scene, their right. 2/10
