If you've been weaned on, then fed a carb enriched diet of Disney, and Coppola, and Lukas and the boys, it's probably really difficult to appreciate and embrace the fluid, rather subtle, almost brutal honesty of Denis (as it was initially for me) or perhaps, likewise, the revolutionary artistry of Coltrane, or Hubbard, or the stunning mood chaos of Basquiat. And, btw, I totally love the world created by Disney's artists, or Coppola's trilogy and Lukas' Star Wars. Really. But each genre satisfies it's own appetite, which is one of the many beauties of art, I think.
