Ballarat does not deserve this movie plot released in 2022 during lockdown…..it was the most childish teen horror film about secondary school kids, a neighbour, a serial murderer, mine shafts & a terrible investigation by a police force…..

Haven’t seen others in the franchise but this one didn’t entice me to see them. Terrible.

Rarely do we turn a film off but this one still had 50mins but I decided folding the washing was a more exciting use of my time. Boring, slow moving & totally unbelievable that a terminally ill scientist would venture out into the snow with a 7yr old mute to send radio signals to a lost spaceship. Really? Clooney was the director, producer and a main actor bc nobody else would fund it.... don’t waste your time.

The plot was too disjointed while following a week in the life of a NY jewish jeweller who juggled too many ‘balls’- his faith, his business, his family, his affair, his gambling debts, his contacts, his health and his life. If the storyline had the basketball player’s character of Ethiopian background, then it would make some sense - a lost opportunity, that totally lost me. I did not enjoy this movie nor find it thought provoking. It was a waste of my precious 2.25hrs, though Adam Sandler was excellent.
