I wanted to like this movie so bad. It just did not come together. The character development is lacking big time. There are so many actors, good actors, in this film who could have really added to it, but their characters were underdeveloped and most served no real purpose in the film. Why not dive into some of the other characters and give us 5 minutes worth of scenes and dialogue about their life and what happened to them. How did they end up there? I blame the writers. This would have been so much better if we were given more detail. Even a simple news story on the tv showing headlines about some of the missing prominent black people would have help. The villains should have been explored more. Why are they the way they are? Give us something other than another rape scene.
