Initially did nit want to watch this movie at all due to the negative perception around this project and the boycott calls. Also I’m a huge admirer of tom hanks and forrest gump.
Oh boy, I was wrong!!
Just finished watching this movie, and I’m filled with emotions as I write down this review. Totally loved the movie. I could see the effort put by aamir khan into this movie. Yes, he was a tad bit off track with his expressions at times, but the emotions land so well, and the adaptation couldn’t have been better. There are a few political perspectives here, but I believe that crucial to show few real life incidents as forrest gump followed same narrative as well i.e., he goes, something miraculously happens.
I regret not watching it on big screens. But this movie’s so good. Special mention to Advaith chandan, the director!!
Yes,I admit few dialogues felt kinda cringe like the golgappa waala dialogue. But as the storyline continues, it just fits in somehow❤️.
(“Life’s like a box of chocolates…” was always iconic)
