I actually liked this movie. Sad to see all the negative comments. I liked seeing the same plot from the different perspectives. The fear and disorganization seemed real to me if people knew that they were actually facing this reality instead of a drill.
As for the ending, keep listening through the credits and I believe you will have your answer.
