I am a big horror buff. It takes a lot to impress me but this film truly did. Not only does it have a refreshingly original script but the direction / visuals are truly stunning - they really drew me in. The lead up to the ending is somewhat predictable and this would usually bother me but in this instance it didn’t. The ending is so visually and emotionally striking that it did not matter I figured a main plot line out. 4.5 stars.

Absolutely outstanding. Joaquin Phoenix does true justice to the Joker. I both cried and laughed throughout it. A very real take on mental illness and society in general...
