For all those saying The Order doesn't give much back story of the characters, I disagree. We learn about Jack's vendetta against Conentry, that's what his life was about, getting revenge with his grandfather. Alyssa and Jack talk about their past when they are stalking Gabrielle. His mother committed suicide, it was repeated by Jack and his grandfather. His mother even said why she did it on the necrophone episode, because she wanted to be with Edward, he was magic. Jack even says that Coventry "magicked" her and kicked her to the curb. This initially drives the story, but becomes something greater. How to stop someone who wants too much power or what do you do when you dont have enough? The knights of Christopher literally tell how each of them got to where they are now as werewolves. What are you expecting? The storyline is about navigating your life when there all multiple paths to take, the heavy emphasis on the introduction to ethics class in the beginning of the series. Clay was definitely the deepest character even though he came off as "high of drugs" those deep questions that noone really asks but can have validation. I loved the show, it was interesting and Randall kept it funny. It was mysterious, it didn't give everything away about The Order ( it's a secret society!!!) And it gave us mythical creatures and a centuries old battle between witches vs. werewolves and power ,without the typical stereotype that witch or werewolves storylines follow. They were initiated and taught based on certain standards and mimicked a college pledge process, versus a passed down legacy that you had no choice but to become, because genetics. The werewolves started as hides that chose who it wanted to bind to, not something lurking in the woods and bites or scratches you, bam werewolf. It stood for something. What do we really know about sororities and fraternities if you're not a member?? You can't always trust what you see. Bring season 2 please!!!!
