I love British period films even if the lovers are doomed. Artistically presented from every point of. View. The music is haunting and appropriate for the drama. The insertion of what actually did not happen towards the end is very moving. It’s gorgeously filmed in all scenes from the stately home to the beaches at Dunkirk. I loved the attention to detail in the costumes and as presented in the house where Robbie and his Mother lived. It would be very difficult for a relationship to take place between the upper class and working class in that time period. The love Between the two Knightly and McAvoy is Beautifully interpretedby the actors and Ronan Does a great job portraying the horrible Snitch who attempts to atone.

Excellent portrayal of this horrible event and I liked The development of the story right through to the end. The attention to detail in the hospitals showing the extreme circumstances with which Doctors and nurses were dealing was beautifully depicted. It was hard to watch the tsunami but it happened and this director was up to the task of presenting it with all the drama of the situation and sensitivity he brought out in the Child actors. Beautiful performances from Naomi Watts and Ewen McGregor. Lastly I thought it Totally appropriate to pan over the devastation left By the tsunami so that the viewers grasp the devastation of this event.

My parents' generation served in the war in different capacities. My late uncle was a bomber pilot although he never talked about it. I know of men who didn't come back. The first time I was in England I was taken to Cambridge and there were huge crosses in Military cemeteries. This series really depicts what was going on but not gratuitous violence. I can't imagine the number of spies Doing this kind of work. High school students should see this series or parts of it to understand what the allied men gave their Lives for and the whole issue of human rights. Well done at/the CBC.

Mesmerizing listening to Aretha and I loved the way it was just the choir, her brother, the musicians taking part. Watching the audience was very special as this meant so much to them to listen to her and participate. I give it a ten as I was totally engrossed by it.

Everything about this series is beautiful. I most appreciate Dominic West doing something with gravitas. I read the book years ago and the series captures the ongoing Chase with the police officer. My iPhone won’t accept the spelling of his name. I’ve only seen two episodes. The ending of the first was heart-wrenching and so was the second. Fantine is beautifully played and the the director seizes on The heartless nature of society established Very quickly and one can see why people revolted. I could weep watching this and kudos to the director and everyone involved in this stunning production.
