April 22nd 2019 I took my lovely mother who gave me life, to her favorite show Dr.Oz. They contacted me online by email. I said sure why not. It's spring-break and I literally needed a break. I had 3 tickets but only requested 2 when we arrived in the line, formed outside. A staff named Emily told my mother she can't go in with a harsh, disrespectful tone. I was so confuse. She said I cant let you in. I told her these are my tickets for the show. They contacted me on my email account and I wanted to spend time with my Mother. She said nope. Next. I said Mother will you please excuse me for a second. I gracefully walked to the front entrance, a guard put his arms across the door, blocking me from getting in (super wired. Like i'm some 'criminal' or something. When i did volunteer community service all my life...smh)... I ask her why she cant get in? "I told her she cant get in." "Okay. Can I please speak to your boss." "I'm the boss!!" "We just wanted to have a fun time. Learn something new and enjoy the rest of the remaining day. Why are you making it so difficult?" " I said She! cant come in... You know what since your related to her now you cant come in to." (Mental gasp for air...Still kept in classy, praise God!) "Excuse me"... You know what, just let her go in. I'll stay out." "No" "Why are you being so unprofessional with me?..and giving me all that attitude?" "Ok. Now your giving me attitude. Now you cant go in." "I'm not giving you attitude, Emily. It is you that is giving me the negative energy. (silence) Make a long story short. I didn't want to go in after that but my mother made me stayed (She went to another show with her other squad that day. Thank You Jesus!!) and said it is about the principal Tanya...So I stayed for her and tried not to cry because I didn't want to mess up my makeup and my white feather vest. (Lol) Anyways... We were disrespected from a young staff named Emily. Her actions were intolerable. She had no sympathy. Raised her voice at me multiple times and I remained calm because i'm saved. Born & raise Nyc. I love all nationalities, especially if their spirit is on fleek!... I heard I am not the only person she did this to and someone has to speak up, so i guess i will be that voice. I pray things and people will change for a better tomorrow... "Treat people the way you want them to treat you."
