The acting is wonderful. But conversion therapy for minors can be much worse - e.g. using shock therapy. Our Vice President, Mike Pence, would like to bring back conversion therapy; It's bigger, as shown in the movie in the Baptist Minister father for people who bring in their religions to back their positions.
