Hey SNL, I always enjoy the cold opener but don't think Jim Carrey is cutting it as Biden. He is a "comedic" comedian which means that he will bring comedy and jokes at whatever cost. Unfortunately for me, he made Biden look like a buffoon while Baldwin as Trump looked top notch. I don't think Carrey is the right guy, but if skits like these continue, I'd keep looking. Jim has always been "over the top" and outlandish with his style while Biden is low key, but the election doesn't need this depiction right now, with Biden coming across like the biggest joke. So let's go back to the drawing board and see who else is out there. If you want names, I'll give you names. But ditch Carrey; he's done his thing and it's not working. Next.

It's been challenging since Bobby Bones but I must say, I like the judges getting involved. It's a dance contest, not a popularity contest, so it must reflect good dancing being rewarded. A word of advice (or caution): I would leave politics out of it, and NOT opt for bringing on board political figures because in this climate of today, the show is on "thin ice" for doing so if millions bail because they are so upset over a very partisan government figure. Putting these people on the show just fuels the fire of contempt, and I just can't see anything good about it. Perhaps you'll draw more viewers but only from one side of the spectrum. The other side might choose to "sit it out" and you'll lose ratings, big time. Decades ago, OK, no problem when our country was all "one" regardless of the President Elect. But this current disaster of a commander in chief has made everyone divided, bitter and has cast a shadow over anything good that could develop between people today. Just don't do it! That's all I'm saying.
