Unfortunately, reading Lee Child's latest Jack Reacher novel, "Blue Moon," felt like a "been there, done that," experience for this devoted Reacher fan.
There was nothing really surprising or creative about the plot, which is usually a hallmark of Reacher stories.
The dialogue was flat, and the interaction between Reacher and the other characters almost seemed to be rehearsed. Except, perhaps, Reacher's final comment to the bad guy. That was a shock, but maybe predictable. One wonders if Child wrote the book just so he could use it.
The main take-away? Lee Child might be getting bored by Jack Reacher. So sorry.
