I was a child when the first series aired on tv many decades ago. I'm also a big Star Trek fan TOS. It took me a while to watch this new series and I've got to say, it's the best show on netflix right now. Absolutely love, love the cast, story line, everything. I've tried not to get emotionally involved with the characters but can't help myself. I love this family so much I've actually cried at those tender moments. So many plots and twists it makes your head spin. This is one of the best series I've watched in 20 years!!! Thank you.

I really enjoyed the ability of those actors who performed interacting with themselves and the range of emotions portrayed. And especially liked the little twist in the episodes where the characters were inter-twined. Like Tom's daughter Peg was Helen Mirren's character whose memories I believed was stolen by Morgan's character Stewart. Very interesting.

I also watched this movie when first released in 1975 and view reincarnation as a way for us to learn lessons. I didn't understand at the time how you can learn a lesson if not able to recall the past life. This story shows a person somewhat recalling but in his quest to seek answers winds up being killed by the same person at the same location. Understand now why our the soul's memory is wiped before rebirth.

I delayed watching this film for 4 years. I'm in my 60's and afraid of looking back again at all the injustices heaped upon Black folks in our history. It left me crying and tired. And not very hopeful of the future of this country. They won't stop until we are completely wiped out.
