It’s definitely a “thinker” movie in the “art film” tradition as almost nothing happens (plot wise) and the little that does happen makes no sense. So it’s not about the “story” at all - but the characters (All of whom are very unreliable), The philosophical dialogue, setting, scenes, etc. Contrary to the reviews it’s not a “horror” movie in the usual sense - it def uses the tropes of horror, but in this case it’s Way more “existential dread and despair” - nothing scary or macabre about it
