Well I was hoping for another Penny Dreadful. Dark Moody Sinister Characters, in good old Dickensian London. Unfortunately we just ended with 21st century characters with a Victorian backdrop. I'm afraid when the giant Little Girl turned up.. It went off. Penny Dreadful ? No, Just Dreadful.

Watched Episode 1 last night and seriously struggled to get to the end.

A phenomenal portail, beautifully told. Every single member of the cast stepped up to the bar with great performances.

An original work 'based on the title' of the H.G. Wells classic, and there sadly the similarity ends. Just how did Orson Wells, and yes Jeff Wayne create such classics based on the original story with out Visual Aids and Special Effects, and yet in comparison mulit million pound TV productions can't even get close to the original choosing instead to go for slow and very boring. PS Marks out of ten to all the folk who manganed park there cars albeit not straight but none the less safely, before dying.

Its just so incredibly boring. Good Production, Good cast but only two episodes in and the only high point, was discovering the young Artillery Man is Dudley Dursley. How can it be possible to turn a Naval confrontation with creatures from another world in to 5min backdrop, and why are the Martians waiting for the last episode to show them selves, after all its not like we've never seen aliens on TV before. Can I really be bothered to watch episode 3? Where's my Jeff Wayne CD somebody Quick!
