The storyline is nowhere near the storyline of robot aka Enthiran. Enthiran had a very interesting storyline with utilizing each and every character without wasting. But this story won't turn you to watch the movie again and again. Many people are saying first half is the best. Seriously? The film is dull to watch during the first half, being easier to predict the storyline. But in the second half, after the flashback, story kicks in and eagerness to watch the movie is increasing slowly when 2.0 chitti came back with its old styles.
Storyline is somewhat good if you don't compare with the first part(Enthiran). But graphics and VFX are better than any Indian movie ever watched. 3D visuals are also good to watch. But graphics and VFX alone won't drive the audiences to watch a film. Anyway they conveyed a very good social message that the world is not only for humans but also for birds through this movie. This can be appreciated. But the film portrayed the person who protects the birds from humans as Villan and those who kill him as heroes, this is why the story is little bit confusing.
Another weak point is lack of songs and dance sequences. But songs are good to hear. Endhira Logathu Sundariye song plays along with end credits. Pullinangal song just plays for a minute or so during the flashback. Even Raajali song plays during the climax so viewers usually focus more on climax only. Some say as they tried to make a movie at par with Hollywood, movie lacked songs and dance sequences. Making a movie like Hollywood is good, but still the movie shouldn't lack the speciality of Indian cinema. Background score too not so much good like Endhiran. Seriously guys, there is no need to spend these much crores of rupees for this movie.
Acting of Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy is nice. The concept of 3.0 chitti also looks cool. In my opinion the director should have given a role for Sana in this film and extended the story for about 20 mins more, then the storyline may become interesting.
Script is not so much good. I can feel the absence of Sujatha's touch in Shankar's film. I can give 2.75 out of five stars for this film. This film is watchable only as the storyline is not boring (including the 1st half, though the first half is not interesting ).
