This is the Jesus you want to understand and know - kind, caring, loving. A compassionate leader bringing out the best of his followers even though they feel unworthy. I love the scenes where he gently teases his disciples and laughs along with them. I love how the characters lives are "fleshed out" to help our understanding of the gospel passages we have heard many times over. I love the character of Matthew and how he is slowly being transformed by the love of Jesus. I love Jesus' strength in the face of the romans and pharisees that are working against him. In short - I love this series and find my faith being deepened, strengthened and brought to life. I have been recommending this series to my friends and family - thank you to all who have made this project possible!
