I loved Transformers One, and I love this movie even more! I cried at least 4x during the movie. I identified as a parent and it really hit home. It has heart, humor, even adventure and excitement! It's an all around well done story and movie. My kids loved it as well (15 & 12). My 15 yr old son was even complaining about going but he became a fan. We saw it this late morning and now want to bring my wife for an evening showing. This movie is everything good and wholesome. I would say 7 or 8 / 5 stars!

TLDR: "Transformers One" is a great film with lots of humor, emotion, and action. It has a good plot, good voice acting, and great animation. I would definitely watch this and would highly recommend watching it. My review of "Transformers One": As a kid who grew up watching Transformers, I easily say that "Transformers One" is by far the best movie I have ever seen. As a new incarnation of the Transformers universe, this movie is the best out of all of them. The retelling of the origins of Optimus and Megatron puts a whole new spin on "more than meets the eye". As a movie aiming at mostly original fans, for someone new to Transformers this would be a great film to kickstart a new interest. The plot and storytelling was amazing and there were many unexpected cameos and references to the old TV shows. I really enjoyed how the movie stuck to the designs from the original comics and cartoons, as well as aspects from the other incarnations. The action sequences added along with the animation style was great and I loved the designs. There was a lot of emotion and plenty of good humor throughout the film. The way that the movie introduced the characters made me re-love them all over again. The voice acting was also incredible. It definitely took some time getting used to Chris Hemsworth voicing the beloved Optimus Prime when I'm used to Peter Cullen but it was still great. It was just great to see a young version of the bots we all know and love and how things started. I would definitely like to see some more films or shows with Galvatron and Unicron done later in the future. For an overall rating, I would give this legendary film a 10/10. This is a must-watch movie and something that everyone will love. Wow, was just slow and bad. Basically they brought JCVD in to help give the movie some star power. Save your 2 hours.

In terms of how I expect a superhero movie to go, this was very underwhelming. I was really hoping for more action in a 2.5 hr movie. A guy with the ability to grant wishes doesn't quite fit the supervillain role to me. But what is it with Wonder Woman flying?!?! She doesn't fly in any of her other movies. Get the connection to her bf, but she isn't supposed to fly! That's why she has her invisible jet! However, I can appreciate the theme of selfishly getting everything I want at the expense of others. There are unintended consequences to our actions. So from a story telling point of view, I still enjoyed it.
