Evaru is well made remake of the Spanish film Contratiempo (The invisible guest). The Spanish movie was already remade in Hindi as Badla with Tapsee and Amitabh Bachchan.
Though the story of Evaru is modified a bit it stays loyal to the original theme of the Spanish movie. Adivi Sesh has again provided an awesome thriller that is completely different from the routine Tollywood flicks that we see. The unreliable narrator is not a new concept but has rarely been used in Telugu cinema. All characters have grey shades and you do not know whom to trust. A taut screenplay, a crisp editing (movie is just around 2 hours) and a very good background score makes this move a real edge of the seat thriller. We saw this with Kshanam and Goodachari before, and this is a hat trick for Adivi Sesh and another feather in his cap.
As an actor, He leads from the front. Regina has a meaty role and she carries it off with much flair. The surprise package is Naveen Chandra who gets to show his fine acting chops and shine. The rest of the cast is also fine and do justice to their roles.
Remakes are also difficult but this one is a fantastic remake. Well done Adivi Sesh — for straying away from the normal and giving us great Cinema. Do not miss...
