I loved this movie and in the never ending stream of never ending hit you on the head block busters it is so refreshing to see a thought provoking and well acted movie not reliant on CGI. I felt so sad leaving the theatre as I wonder if a movie like the at is a dying breed. We must never lose genius directors like Del Toro and Tim Burton with their amazing imaginations.

I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the book. The grittiness of the first film was lacking in the second movie and this one unfortunately.
