As most of the reviewers here are non-European, I see it as obligatory for me to bring what an European thinks. The main thing that bothers me in this movie is that it has a strong vainglorious premise to bring a new concept in philosophical psychology; what the author coins as 'collateral beauty' in classical philosophy (by Aristotle) is known as 'catharsis', purging by tragic events; this is pure mediocrity. I tend to not like American Cinematography but I appreciate the efforts to make such a movie, to make western culture known (to itself at least), especially by the magical reality and the metaphorical encounters of Love, Time and Death.
