This is a great adaption! In the sense, water learns to adapt and take new form, rather than the water being at rest. Nevertheless, it is still water. My honest review is, if you want a direct reflection, there are many areas of contemplation. (Spoilers ahead) A key element in the original show is Aang's and Katara's relationship. From the start, we can see something brewing. Here, they are doing something different. There is no immediate bond between the two, rather, the adaption seems to have the intentions of taking their time. You don't think much about what is between the two. But towards the very end, you can just feel there is something more. Anyone who has watched the classic animation can pick up this in their little interactions, however. Another, which could be the biggest rift, is their blending of multiple events. They have took situations from other books and placed them in the 1st one. It can be disappointing, but it can also be surprising for the new that is to come. It potentially can be frustrating to see at first, but besides this, there's a lot to look forward to as well. Thirdly, while the first ever Avatar series was able to sink you in but also give you a feeling of urgency, it seems that time passes by too quickly while watching this show. Truly just because it is in a different format. While this show manages to be something of its own, it also expands upon the organic universe. There are scenes we didn't see, but heavily implied. And areas of conversations and characters thoughtfully fleshed out, as well as other themes that were maturely expanded upon. It is not the original Avatar. It is something different. It is the spirit of Avatar, in a different reincarnation. I'm excited to see where this takes us! I am hoping we can look forward to more!

This is the most beautiful show I have ever encountered. For the sake of watching it and having finished it, I need to pour my heart out. Nothing has ever been so unique, thrilling, heartwarming, and touching than this show right here. I fail to put it into words, but this is truly a gem of this year. I did not expect much from watching it at first, but quickly after the initial episode, I rapidly began to see its beauty. Get rid of all the thoughts you have about this show, you are wrong, in the best way possible. From start to finish it takes you on a insightful ride, with delightful surprises done with much sincerity. As you began to piece it all together, you see its intentions all along. It started perfectly, and ended perfectly. I haven't felt this full from an ending in ages. I give my regards to the writers, actresses, actors, and all that took part in this production. From the wonderful selection of music to the natural cinematography, it is truly such an incredible experience. It was worth the watch, and showed me, quite literally, I am worthy too. I'm so glad I ignored my first impressions and went onto see the bigger picture. If it sounds profound, it's because it surely is. Maybe, to some, it's an overreaction, but this show was just what I needed in the uncertain times I'm in right now. All is well, all ended perfectly. Well done, Mrs. Davis.

This show has completely took me by surprise in an incredible and unforgettable way. Never in my life have I ever watched something so unique, thoughprovoking, and eerie at the same time. Each episode unravels an element to the story that seems to drastically change its course, all the while leading to the same, domineering feeling that there is something greater than us and what we can see. This is truly an insightful and meaningful show filled with a symbolism you cannot miss and a soundtrack you cannot resist. The characters, the timing, and the story all feel so perfect and welldone. I sincerely hope this show receives the accolade it deserves.. If you haven't already, please give this series a shot. You won't regret it. It is an exciting show with a strong sense of Lovecraft for his fans out there.
