In a giant nutshell, between this versus the Johnny Depp version, which of the two poisons would you prefer? There are some morbid flaws to this movie, such as: 1) When was there a time Slugworth became the enemy in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? 2) Droopy in cuffs (I gotta admit, that was funny to some degree, but literally, what were we even looking at?) 3) Obvious one, but Slugworth singing Veruca Salt's song 4) Not gonna lie, it does kind of feel like a shot-for-shot of the original, but does have some alternate scenes that probably haven't been addressed in the original. 5) To be fair, it wasn't just Charlie and Mr. Bucket that stole Fizzy Lifting Drinks, especially because Tom and Jerry had to save them away from the guard dog and Slugworth) So yeah...do you prefer this or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Charlie has had its moments where they got dark, but this one is a giant nutshell in and out of itself.
