I was an og Trigun fan. Its the first anime I ever watched and got me hooked. With that in mind I was anxious when I heard it was being remade. CGI has been hit and miss in the past and its difficult to look at something with fresh eyes when the original is so close to your heart. However, Im blown away. The opening theme is a beautiful song and the visuals are perfectly fit. I was a bit upset at first when they replaced Milly with a male character but I quickly grew to like him and he fit the mentor role really well. The show jumps into the action a lot quicker than the original, introducing a number of major players much quicker than expected but instead of feeling rushed, the pacing matched the more modern visuals. They dont over play the goofier side and manage to keep a more serious tone without negatively impacting Vash's character. I cant say i prefer this or the old one. Both have their merits and tackle the themes in their own ways. But this is a highly enjoyable show and definitely worth your time.

Its like Lebron James and Warner Bros jerked each other off and what ever landed paper was the script.
