Just finished episode 3 and unfortunately, even though I thought the game will be amazing like LIS and LIS2, it lacks a lot and feels incomplete. It seems that without Dontnod they don't know how to create the LIS experience and just made another Tale-Tell-like game. For example, there are hugh decisions Alex makes without the player, or conversation where we just watch and have no dialog choices when/where it would have been perfect to implement some.
A couple more things: The first episode feels shorter than any episode we had in the LIS franchise. Since I still haven't finished the game I don't know how it ends, but maybe the story writers didn't have enough of a story to tell.
The town of Haven has a beautiful main street, but only 4 of it's shops are ever accessible for us and it really bothers me in this setting. How are we supposed to love the town if we can't see it? Most residents don't even have names, just generic titles. It these small details that are missing from the game. And finally, after I talk to a character and go do some other stuff, returning to that character with new information or a new task doesn't bring up new dialog, just the same "I have nothing more to say" dialog line. It's like no one at Decknine bothered to make Haven (the setting) and the game itself immersive and feel alive.
Also, the game has some serious problems and glitches, mostly graphical (playing on xbox).
