Loving every second of Tom Hardy’s performance - He carries the whole programme Part of the weight he carries is the awful ‘Top o the morning to ya - Lucky Charms - To be sure - To be sure’ lepricorn accent coming from Helen Mirren - by far the worst thing she has ever done - (Pearce Brosnan is not much better) Entertaining none the less

Awful Awful Awful Awful Awful Awful Awful So Awful that i couldnt stop watching it - I had to see if it could get any worse - and it did - more Plot Holes than Pot Holes in the road outside my house - All the points that everyone is picking up on - and then some ! - Why is Marcus unphased that his Dad has just died? - Who digs foundations with a shovel? - How long had the daughter been handcuffed to the oven door? (Not sitting in a pool of her own wee ?) - Why would so many semi-decent actors take part in this awful awful programme? - that relentless repetitive annoying music lifted from a scene in ‘Psycho’ - Should be shown in Drama schools as an example of how NOT to make a TV Drama and yet I watched it all !! Compelling in its awfulness minus⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An 8 episode advert for a Blue Jaguar F-Pace. I came to it for Joanna Lumley, following her glowing promotion on ‘The ONE Show’ - “Joanna won’t let us down, she’s always good in everything she does” - oh well, there’s always a first time - and ‘Fool Me Once’ (The irony of that apt title!) is it. Playing out in the background as I write this - and drift off into a nap - waking to find it’s still on - Turn it off you say? - No can’t do that now - I’ve read ahead and am looking forward to the stupid ending. Is it so bad that it’s good? No it’s just bad Well why watch it? - same reason you get stuck on the motorway with an accident on the other side - I’m not going to look - I’m not going to look…… I look The glowing 1 star reviews are far more entertaining than the painful drivel. It is annoying that a TV company can throw so much money (soooo much) at a programme - give it good titles, cinematography, locations, music, ‘some’ decent actors etc and not spend any money on securing a decent plausible story. The ‘plot’ has more holes than a crate of Polos How she breezes in and out of secure buildings and premises, public schools, offices, apartments, Estates and Hospitals, without ever being challenged is really quite alarming Oh - she’s just traded up to a Range Rover so it’s a JLR commercial now Nap time !!

Just came across by chance on Netflix 10years after it’s release - had never heard of it - was drawn in to a well crafted film and went along for the ride - any holes in the plot were lost in the momentum of the story and the convincing acting all round - I watch period pieces with an eagle eye looking for errors - didn’t notice anything! - Satisfying Sunday evening viewing

Wish I had come here first to read reviews before waving goodbye to 4 hrs watching this rubbish - started well - then descended into tripe - Why didn’t I switch off? - it was so bad I wanted to see just how bad it would get - and I wasn’t disappointed - awful awful awful - dire - sad - total waste of a filming budget - I can see why they screened it over 4 consecutive nights - before News got out that it was so bad

Someone actually put up the money to make this? Morris J Van (released in 1949) appears as a prison van early in the war. Never heard of Google? Absolutely terrible film, but with 25 mins left to go I still cant stop watching this drivel. is it so bad its good? no not really, its just so bad I cant stop watching it.
