The only reason people have to not like this movie is the LGBTQ+ element with a gay main character. Apparently, children aren't allowed to know that gay love exists? Lol. People suck. The movie is AMAZING. I'm not the target demographic (adult, no kids) and it still brought tears to my eyes. I would have loved to see this as a kid. Really good storyline, hilarious characters. 100% appropriate for kids. I love this.

Really a beautiful story. There's no big plot twist, but there doesn't need to be. It's a simple coming of age romance.
