Despite being undoubtedly highly intelligent, articulate and knowledgeable in her field of expertise, somehow, I sensed a warm-hearted motherly and modesty in the way Professor Sarah Gilbert presented the lecture. I was astonished to hear about the relative underfunding of the immensely important works that the Professor and her team were conducting!
