Joan Orchid

This was only one of two half hour comedies that I tuned in to watch. As the reviewer stated, I had seen the resemblance to "The Wonder Years" which I also watched. The writing on The Kids Are Alright is probably the best I have seen, and that is why I watch it. The premise is true, and having lived through the seventies, just outside Los Angeles, I can vouch for the verity of the scenes. I appreciate that there is no laugh track. Please DON'T change that. One criticism I would like to make. Since there is no laugh track, the timing of the lines is a bit fast, since they don't have to wait for the laughs, they just keep going with the dialog. Please wait a second or two for the audience to pick up on the jokes and laugh. I have missed the meanings a number of times, since I just can't keep up with the speed of the dialog. This show deserves a few more seasons on the network. Please bring it back. If that cannot be, I urge another network to pick it up.

I will see this tomorrow. Despite all the negative comments. I have read a bit about Shakespeare and most of it was speculation....in fact, it is not known if Shakespeare was really 'the bard', so why split hairs on how much authenticity it has. It's a MOVIE, folks! I would rather enjoy this than sit through several hours of a 'franchise.
