This could have been something great, but Anna Chlumsky‘s over the top facial mugging for the camera was extremely distracting. Her wild eyes, her pouting, her “I can’t believe this is happening” moments and her over enunciating everything belongs on a stage, not in front of a camera. It’s like she was trying to stay relevant in every part of every scene. There were parts where she seemed to reign herself in, but it was too late. Garner’s accent was distracting and the beyond horrible $6 wigs were distracting. The only reason I kept watching was because of the supporting actors who convinced me of the characters they were portraying. The story is intriguing. I just can’t give it more than a one because the story happened in real life so I feel like I’m watching a rerun.

Preachy. Hollywood telling the story about waste is ironic and laughable. This movie was irritating.

I was interested until they said that white people don't like them, they just like their food. Projection at its best. Then they called the people that wanted to change their circumstances, “white” in a derogatory way. Then the grandpa gets arrested for breaking windows and we’re supposed to feel sorry for him. I was over this show quickly. Too bad. It could have been something to educate. All I learned was that the Mexican community is racist against white people and education.

I liked it and appreciate that Jesse got what HE finally wanted. My God! He was put through so much after getting involved with Walt. He wasn’t built to be a true drug dealer and all that entails. Jesse has a conscience. He was pushed beyond his breaking point. I get where Vince went with this and was not disappointed.

I love it. Each episode starts out slow, but the payoff is satisfying. Sort of like The Twilight Zone on steroids and with a modern twist. I’m glad I kept watching. Great acting. Great stories.
