I can not express how I feel into proper words when talking about this book turned into a show without reverting to animalistic grunts or growls, so I will try here. The wheel of time books are a very good read, built on a world that is ever expanding and phenomenal, making my mere venture into the third book still feel better than any other book series I’ve read, even the books written by Brandon Sanderson, the current wheel of time author, pale in comparison. The books are like a skyscraper built on hardy stone that would last lifetimes. The show is like the Tower of Babel built on a sandy beach. They have removed several supports to the world building and replaced them with flimsy sticks that have the word “Sturdy” written on it in crayon. They have changed aspects of each character that affects the actions that they will make in the future. It’s as if the writers read someone’s foot notes from the first book and based their entire show on nothing but that information. Read the books, appreciate their characters as they are, because the writers should have just killed them off instead of writing this show.
