This has been one of my favourite books since around the age of 8, and I remember renting it out from my primary school library every two weeks back in Australia. When we moved to the US, one of the biggest griefs I faced was losing access to that worn and well-loved copy. Luckily in 2012 I managed to find a hard-cover Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World of my own, and I have absolutely cherished it ever since then. It's quite old now, having been originally been published a few decades before I was even born, and though it's practically falling apart now it remains so so special to me. It was inspiring, formative, and comforting for the weird little kid I used to be, and equally so for the even stranger adult I've become.
