Why is it whenever women’s rights and equality are represented in blockbuster movies, it’s so on the nose that the whole narrative is spoiled? I was expecting much more sophistication and emotive detail that allows you to connect with the character. This was so half-arsed the cinema was unable to take it seriously by the climax. If other films can do it, so could have Captain Marvel. The entire film was the equivalent of a filler episode in TV. All the characters and plot were just, for lack of a better word, irrelevant. Totally uninspired.
