An odd movie that keeps hinting at something noir but isn't. Music is kinda noir jazzy. Well directed, well acted, but in the end just kinda sad. Watched it on a lazy rainy day with a glass of wine.

From 2007 to 2012 I played Star Wars in Second Life. It was set 300 years ABY, you couldn't have an actual character from the movies, but you could be any type of char: Jedi, Sith, Yoydarian fuel haulers, Hutts, pirates, politicians, corrupt trade Federation types- the list goes on an on. It was really fun! The acolyte reminds me of that fun. Sometimes the canonistas would become very vocal (can only force users wield a light saber? Could a non-force user at least turn the thing on?). The acolyte is Star Wars fun!

Not a work of genius like the movies, but a solid, serviceable Tolkienesque work. Stunning artwork and cinematography. Solid acting, good direction with enjoyable twists and turns. Will make you want to cry out "Isildur!" at random intervals.

Quite positive...a little quirky, with some all too often used tropes (Really? Asteroid fields as a rock strewn field that must be carefully maneuvered through, while we all know by now that the asteroids would be thousand and thousands of miles apart...)...Katie Sackhoff holds the crew and cast together in this romp that is seriously about "millenials in space." Nice ship, pretty good concept, plot twists keep this one alive...nothing especially new, but a fun watch ...
