I really enjoyed the movie Cats. I had also enjoyed the theatre version with its dancing and music and was wondering how the movie would present that. It was a delightful interpretation. The story is based on TS Elliot's book of poetry, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, which is a series of poems about individual felines. While the play and movie tried to craft a fitting story it can be accepted as the series of the cat personalities
and their mystical lives portrayed. Not everyone is fond of theatre or cats. Sadly this must contribute to limited audience appeal. That doesn't mean the movie is not good. In my humble opinion, it was great and I look forward to seeing it many times in the future, probably with a cat keeping me company.
