Gitanjali muraris crown of seven stars is not an unusual theme .. but put across in a novel way .It deals with actions of older generations and how they impact successive generations . She highlights concepts such as courage ,destiny ,self awareness,righteousness etc . and the flip side being negative attributes such as jealousy .greed ,and ego .. and how that brings down the eventual downfall of humans . Her characters believe in the theory of Sade sati ... seven years of bad luck .Something we have heard all our lives ,and maybe experienced as well. The underlying theory that despite mans best efforts ... things don’t happen ...can we attribute this to destiny ... Does a mans destiny play a role in his life or is it just human effort alone .The best style to show the real depth of human emotions is magic realism ... can be used to depict social ,political and religious issues .
