I have the PS5 version and have to say that this is the best implementation of the Dualsense after Astro Playroom (I also played Miles Morales and Dirt 5 on PS5). You not only feel the different surfaces, acceleration grip and braking, but more surprisingly, you feel the engine (which varies from bike to bike) the exhaust pops, gear changes, it's just incredible. All this allied with fantastic 3D sound and excellent reproduction of the original bike engine and exhaust sound, great graphics and 4k 60fps, makes this experience truly next gen. It is however a bit more difficult to learn then on Ride 3, even on the easiest settings I would come last on the first 3 or 4 races but after that you start to learn the mechanics and now I play on Medium and finish 1st place 99% of the times. Just make sure you have joint braking and AW, TC and EB on 1, rewind activated, and you are good to go. If this review was for PC version I would probably give a 4 star if so, as now you have less bikes and most of the extras are payable through DLC, but the believable handling, sound and a jaw dropping feel through the Dualsense, makes this not only a game, but an addictive experience. If you have a PS5, this is a must buy!
PS: don't give up if you struggle initially. I've been reading some comments below and people are put off as they were expecting this to be more like Ride3 (more arcade) and if it wasn't for the dualsense and 3D sound I would probably be disappointed as well, but I endured and after about 1/2 hours of playing it I was winning races and enjoying it. I believe they are trying to make this the Gran Turismo of bikes, hence the more simulation approach, but it is also more rewarding. Also, make sure you always upgrade your bike's tyres to racing slicks and on the menu of the race, select soft tyres as the AI usually races with stock tyres, so you have a good advantage there. Start with the very easy setting and then start to increase it slowly as you start to win more races. Also on PS5, make sure you use a good pair of headphones (I use a audio technica MT50x connect to the controller) so you can experience the full soundstage which is the most immersive I ever experienced)
