Gossip Girl doesnt work in 2021. Part of the reason the original worked was because it was raunchy, often times illegal, politcally incorrect, socially insensitive...I could go on. With today's world of cancel culture, SJWs, body positivity, abolish patriarchy, and all inclusive rhetoric, Gossip Girl 2021 can never be greater than its predecessor.
