I genuinely wanted to love this game. I ignored the trolls that tried to spoil and leak. I ignored the dislikes on trailers. I ignored a friend who told me to hold off on buying it. Well here I am. With 60 dollars less than before. That was a mistake. If you are short on cash, but are determined to buy this game no matter what, than I would suggest watching a stream online. Or waiting until this game goes on sale. It is NOT worth 60 dollars. Why do I think it's a mistake? Well to start, the dialogue made me cringe multiple times. Felt like conversations you would overhear at your local Starbucks, not conversations you'd hear 30 years into a zombie apocalypse. The advertising for this game was incredibly misleading. Which lead to immediate disappointment a few hours in. The game did not get better than there. This game has been a slog, but I was determined to find something worth liking about this game. Haven't really found it. Only thing was the great backgrounds and set pieces. And the animation is done well, it's Naughty Dog after all. But yea, aside from that. Everything else left me empty and annoyed. Some of the plot holes were hard to ignore, and you can tell the writers want you to feel certain ways about certain scenes and characters. I wasn't feeling anything. I felt numb by the end. Once again buying this game was my own fault. I brought this on myself.
