Watch just about every morning / don't always agree with the thinking on certain subject matter, but that's to be expected, thus overall, I find the show to be entertaining and informative / This mornings Feb 18 cooking portion was of a Trinidadian salt fish rendering / it was stated that salt fish consisted of dried salted cod, which was surprising considsring that the S. Shore portion of NS back in the day of sail had a brisk trade with Trinidad - Salt fish was a trade staple in exchange for molasses, sugar and a variety of other staples - the salt fish consisted of salt pollock, not cod and to this day salt pollock is the primary fish used as salt fish, in this neck of the wood anyway / Cod is considered a junk fish / Haddock and pollock are king
