Similar to Hallmark movies in the past, this story had some substance.

They consistently have reporters do non-challenging interviews since the reporters know little about the subject. Tonight Whitaker listened to Dalio recommend higher taxes for the rich but did not ask the obvious question once asked of Buffet, "Why don't you just send a check of your fair share to the US Treasury?" Why, because they know that the money would be poorly spent so they give it privately. Also, Dalio was lauded for 2018 investment returns but not questioned as to his 10 year record versus the indexes (less his high fees). Whitaker once asked a female cop who had shot and killed a suspect why she didn't just "shoot him in the foot?" with a handgun from 30 feet! Even the Attu story which was very compelling did not address why lose 500 men when the Japanese could easily have been starved out.
