1883 was excellent. Stellar cast, great story-telling. Love the narrative being told through the eyes of Elsa...their strongly independent, courageous and care free, loving daughter. To be able to do this, yet maintain the grittiness and hard driven life of a cowboy during these early times when decisions were the difference between life and death. And a man's word counted for something. Well done by all. Cinematography of the open land...breath-taking. I won't be forgetting the Duttons anytime soon. Must watch

I am a 61 yr old black man who began to watch this program on a whim. A week later, I am on season 5 absolutely enthralled with the show. The characters, the stories,the acting is amazing. Heartwarming, funny, and heart breaking...I have laughed and cried. TV at it's best.
