First red flag was when almost every new female character you meet in the first two episodes is introduced through sex or alluding to sex. Second was when it started to remind me of the feel the later seasons of Hemlock Grove had. To be fair I loved the first season of HG. Now I'm not saying this show is horrible. Its watchable, and the acting at times is better than the script. I liked how they focused on the sensory overload when turning, wasn't quite as impressed with Michael's piranha teeth. It's not what I was expecting, at all. It's much more of a sterile sci-fi vibe than a dark vampire vibe, in fact it would fit in quite well on syfy. . Nikki Reed's performance was top notch and it has an interesting enough premise to follow through if you have nothing else to watch. I watched because of Ian and I love the guy but it's not his best work. I'm not obsessed but was I entertained? Sure.
