The pompous people criticizing this film so harshly are clearly not musical lovers, and are probably unmoved by West Side Story, Singin in the Rain, and all the other greats, too...and that makes their reviews unfair and unqualified. Simply put, this film is a STUNNER. The songs are ALL killer, and each one advances the narrative powerfully and seamlessly. The vocal and dance performances are shockingly good, and the cinematography and visuals (set, costume) are fresh and gorgeous. Alot of deeply talented people poured their hearts and souls into this film...and it is a definite must - see! ..
