Avenging this films previous stumbles, Zach Snyder's gone, but not forgotten crown jewel of the DC universe, originally intended to Unite the Seven, finally lives up to the potential and spectacle we have expected from our noble heroes and their now redeemed assembler/director. This film fills in the gaps skimmed over in Wheaton's poultry film leaving to us wonder Why Wheaton? Significant portions of story, character(Cyborg) development and structure were left on the cutting room floor for the maiden voyage of this who's who for DC team ups that translates into major battle spectacle that make more sense this time around. Luckily with the free reign from HBOMax and Zack Snyder's second chance, as well as a drive to complete this film for his daughter Autumn, give this bland superhero shoot em' up heart and life in this 4 hour epic which shows the effects relationships can have on characters no matter how super they are and how these relationships can make anyone human. It is still a little long at times but this is welcoming and never seemed like a slug through mud during my four hour experience, but the lack of refinement in editing and obvious add ons at the end of the film slightly dull this shinning star for any comic book fan, allegiances be damned. This is what great superhero/comic book movies should be! A celebration of the characters we know intimately, and a questioning of our selves and what we feel is possible alone, but ultimately in how we find JUSTIC together.
