While its very nostalgiac to the first Resident Evil games, rarely have I been this disappointed by an ending to a video game. It concludes quite abrubtly and answers few of the mysteries of the story. It was as if devs ran out of money before they could properly conclude the game. I sat stunned and gutted as the credits rolled, especiallly after all of the time I put into the game.

I really really like this game. Great story, great dialogue, and great atmosphere. I like the Souls-type fighting mechanics, but I especially like the the fact that you can only level up by making the difficult choices of which NPCs you devour, and each choice you make has consequences to the environment. The devs were also clever to make sure that the consequences won't always be mitigated by devouring only the "bad" NPCs. Sometimes devouring the "bad" ones result in serious unintended consequences. This game was well-thought out, and it shows.

I guess I blew all my excitement about series in Borderlands 2. I completed 3 more out loyalty to the franchise than interest in the game. There are simple too many first-person shooters out there with more dynamic gameplay. B3 gameplay felt slow and clunky by modern comparison and the zillions of weapon types available just couldn't compensate.

I loved Wildlands, and was very encouraged about the updated 2020 reviews of Breakpoint, so I bought the game on sale. Turns out, it's still glitchy, the enemy AI is terribly stupid (like walking in a line towards my oncoming bullets stupid), and worst of all, you no longer have AI squadmates. So, if you don't want to co-op, Breakpoint becomes a glitchy less-fun version of FarCry. I am currently trying to get a refund.
